Vitamin D Injections £128 (Price Includes Consultation)

Vitamin D is made in our skin in response to exposure to sunlight and is essential in the development of strong bones and for general health. There is also evidence to suggest Vitamin D can help prevent diseases such as Cancer, Diabetes and Heart Disease.

Vitamin D deficiency is very common in the UK with a recent survey showing more than 50% of UK adults may be deficient in Vitamin D.

Mild Vitamin D deficiency can cause tiredness and general aches and pains, progressing to rickets (in children) and osteomalacia (in adults) with more severe deficiencies.

Vitamin D levels can be measured with a simple blood test for £60.

The vitamin D injection is an effective and convenient way of increasing your Vitamin D level. It is given once every 6 months until the deficiency is under control and is a much more convenient alternative to taking tablets 6 times a day as is the usual NHS practice.

If you are concerned about your Vitamin D level or wish to start a course of Vitamin D injections please make an appointment to see us.
